Oh ya, markets opened epic high today...kind of a tough day for trading but I had my eyes on $AMD. Today would have been a good day for shorting but I couldn't find anything with the right setups, well I did find one stock but it moved way too quick! Check out $BPI it got slaughtered. haha! You may ask but $PBI is up 20% how did it get slaughtered? That I will explain some other time.
Before I even begin talking about my $AMD trade today, I want to show you why I traded this. And in order for me to do that I must go back in time to my previous $AMD trade, basically identical! Click Here to read it!
Well first I want to show what I wrote down in the morning about $AMD. No joke I did this before the market opens since I only trade stocks that are on my sheet of paper. By the way, $AMD popped up because it was upgrades by some analysts, YOU KNOW what I BET THOSE same analysts you upgrades the stock BOUGHT shares yesterday when it was at 3.98! today it opened at 4.21. Crazy! Well I love it, I am long 1000 shares at 2.91 in my other account. If you want to see the current price of $AMD click here.
So here is what I wrote prior to the market going ding ding ding (09:30)
What this beautiful piece of art above means is that is $AMD can stay above 4.20 and doesn't die in the morning and it prints the price of 4.24 I am IN! I want to be a part of $AMD because it will go go go!
So let me show you why the two trades were so similar and I hope you looked my previous $AMD trade or you won't understand what I will talk about. If you still haven't read it click here to read it! Oh what ever, if you are too lazy to click I will show you the my OLD trade below!
Below: $AMD Trade on Friday May 17, 2013
Below: Today July 11, 2013 $AMD Trade. Look how SIMILAR the move is!
I sold all my shares at 4.295. A $33.92 gain for the day! Not bad! I don't go heavy, especially with $AMD and on a day like this when the markets had gapped up so HIGH it took a lot of work for $AMD to do this.
